Bill Gravell

Bill Gravell began serving as the Region 6 Advocate for the Small Business Administration in March 2025. He holds a degree in theology from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor. During his six-year tenure as Williamson County Judge, he managed a $635 million budget, oversaw 2,004 employees, and facilitated the creation of 12,500 small businesses. It was during this time that Gravell discovered the importance of small businesses, administering local grants to help them survive the global pandemic. Under his leadership, Williamson County saw the largest North American expansion of Apple outside Cupertino, the construction of America’s largest indoor water park, Kalahari, and the Samsung semiconductor complex valued at $45 billion. Bill Gravell believes that the role of the advocate is to be the voice of Main Street back to Washington, D.C., reminding them that the red tape they create strangles entrepreneurship and success in small businesses.

As Region 6 Advocate for the Office of Advocacy, Bill represents small businesses in New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Texas.
